:: How to Configure Outlook Express & Newsgroups
Note: Microsoft Outlook does not support newsgroups.
- Operating System: Windows 95

Configure Mail Settings

- Open Outlook Express.
- Click on Tools
- Click on Accounts
- Click the Mail tab
- Click Add
- Click Mail
- Now follow the "Configure Mail Settings" instructions
- In the Display name text box, type your name.
- Click the Next button.
- Select I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use.
- In the E-mail address text box, type your e-mail address
(for example, username@ictransnet.com)
- Click the Next button.
- From the My incoming mail server is a __ server list,
choose POP3.
- In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server text box,
type pop3.ictransnet.com.
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box, type
smtp.ictransnet.com.
- Click the Next button.
- In the Account name text box, type your Ictransnet username.
- In the Password text box, type your Ictransnet password.
- Check Remember password, if desired.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button.
Configure News Settings

- Open Outlook Express.
- Click on Tools
- Click on Accounts
- Click the News tab
- Click Add
- Click News
- Now follow the "Configure News Settings" instructions
- In the Display name text box, type your name.
- Click the Next button.
- In the E-mail address text box, type your e-mail address
(for example, username@ictransnet.com)
- Click the Next button.
- In the News (NNTP) server text box,
type news.ictransnet.com
- Check My news server requires me to log on.
- Click the Next button.
- In the Account name text box, type your Ictransnet e-mail address
(including @ictransnet.com or @domainName.com).
- In the Password text box, type your Ictransnet password.
- Check Remember password, if desired.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button.
